When Anthony and Maria Zarcone came to Canada from Italy, they brought with them a passion for gourmet foods, old world traditions and the Italian zest for life. Anthony’s oldest son Frank, had a vision to share this tradition to surrounding family and friends. In 1985, the Zarcone Family established “Zarky’s Fine Foods”. They set up shop and welcomed Hamilton to share in their passion for food.

We welcome you to step inside a Zarky’s store. Wandering the store is more like strolling the streets of a market town. Beautiful murals of Mediterranean streetscapes by talented local artists make every section of the store look like its own little shop. The effect is breath taking. Whoever thought that shopping could be such a pleasure? DaVinci and Michelangelo would be proud!

As your eyes take in the beautiful sights of our store, the aromatic scent of fresh ingredients will make your mouth water. From freshly baked breads and pizzas to freshly brewed espresso to the scent of meat and poultry being roasted to perfection, your senses will be on overload!

Here are Zarky’s we feel that cooking is an adventure and great cooking takes time and patience. We realize that you probably don’t have time for a pinch of this and a dash of that so, at Zarky’s, our motto is “Simply Perfect! The way you would do it if you had the time.”

Pizza is just another one of our trademark dishes. Ah, but you’ve never tasted pizza like ours! Like all our breads, we make our crust from scratch and shape it by hand according to an old-world secret recipe of Mamma Zarcone’s. Then we cover it with rich, homemade tomato sauce and the freshest of toppings. One taste and you’ll exclaim, “Mamma Mia! I love Zarky’s pizza!” Thousands have.

At the end of a hectic day, you’ll really appreciate the huge assortment of freshly made take-home meals that Zarky’s has to offer. But you can also start your day at Zarky’s Café.
